Business Services Coordinator

The Business Services Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the business and administrative functions of PBS NC's content production and distribution departments. This position ensures that departmental objectives are met on time and within budget, and oversees financial resources, including vendor setup, payment processing, contract administration, and purchasing, while maintaining financial and contract databases.

Producer/Director

The Producer/Director provides creative leadership from inception to completion in assisting with production and direction of program segments, entire programs or series. This position develops, researches, produces, writes, directs, edits, and distributes digital and broadcast content. This work ranges from involvement with concept, content, funding/budget oversight to all pre-production, production and post-production activities, including social media.

Senior Videographer

The primary objective of this position is to produce visually stunning, expertly crafted video content that excels in both artistic vision and technical precision. This role demands an elevated shooting style and a versatile skill set, enabling seamless transitions between high-impact dramatic documentaries, innovative and creative storytelling, and polished political or corporate studio productions. 

EDUCATION & INNOVATION

Education Services Program Manager

This position plays a pivotal role in managing projects and educational programs annually, as well as implementing adult learner educational initiatives that leverage the unique platforms and resources of PBS and PBS North Carolina. This position collaborates closely with educators, educational trainers and community stakeholders to ensure PBS NC adult learner educational programs are impactful, inclusive and aligned with the mission to educate and inspire adult learners across NC.

TECHNOLOGY

Chief Broadcast Engineer

The Chief Broadcast Engineer is responsible for leading the engineering broadcast operation including Field Operations units, plus Emergency Services and New Technologies & Planning for the statewide public television network. This position provides leadership and direction to a diverse staff of broadcast engineering and technology professionals, including oversight maintenance engineering, transmitter operations and other technical facilities.

TECHNOLOGY

Microwave Technician

The Microwave Technician is responsible for the overall monitoring and maintenance of the microwave distribution system of PBSNC, which includes following all electrical and RF principles and practices, and complying with all federal, state and FCC safety compliance measures. This Microwave Technician is designated for the western region of NC as the area of primary responsibility and can be based out of anywhere in the western half of the state.
