PBS North Carolina proudly presents a rare Raleigh appearance by award-winning documentarian Ken Burns. Join us at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts for a special advance screening of carefully curated clips from THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, a film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein and David Schmidt. After the screening, Ken Burns and local historians will participate in a panel discussion, moderated by David Crabtree, about the film and North Carolina’s role in this historical time and how it shaped America.

If your name is not randomly selected to win a pair of free tickets, you will have the opportunity to secure your seat beginning February 17 with a donation of $70 (via Ticketmaster) to support this and other events from PBS North Carolina.
PBS North Carolina “The American Revolution” Ticket Sweepstakes Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. ELIGIBILITY
The PBS North Carolina “The American Revolution” Ticket Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of PBS North Carolina, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and those living in the same household are not eligible to participate. The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law.
2. ENTRY PERIOD
The Sweepstakes begins on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 9:00 AM and ends on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 5:00 PM ET (the “Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.
3. HOW TO ENTER
To enter, visit pbsnc.org/american-revolution-sweepstakes and complete the online entry form by providing your full name, phone number, mailing address, email address, and confirmation of eligibility. Only one (1) entry per person is allowed. Multiple entries from the same person or email address will be disqualified.
4. PRIZES AND ODDS
A total of fifty (50) winners will be randomly selected, and each winner will receive two (2) tickets to an exclusive advance screening of THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION at the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts on May 15, 2025. The approximate retail value of each prize is $0.00, as tickets are promotional and non-transferable.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
5. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
Winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries on Monday, February 10, 2025. Winners will be notified on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 via the email address provided during entry. Winners must confirm their acceptance of the tickets by February 28, 2025. If a winner does not confirm by this deadline, an alternate winner may be selected.
6. GENERAL CONDITIONS
The tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable, and have no cash value.
PBS North Carolina reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Sweepstakes in the event of technical failures, fraud, or unforeseen circumstances.
By entering, participants agree to abide by these official rules and the decisions of PBS North Carolina, which are final and binding.
7. RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless PBS North Carolina, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claim or liability arising from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance and use of the prize.
8. PRIVACY
Entrants’ contact information will only be used for Sweepstakes administration and will not be shared with third parties.
9. DISPUTES
This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
