Discover Your Superpower with Hero Elementary

Ambassador's Corner yellow banner.

As a community outreach and family support coordinator who is passionate about helping families connect with valuable resources and programs, I’m busy generating excitement for the upcoming pre-K school year.

School is more than classrooms and textbooks. It’s a place where the magic of potential sparks to life. Just like the students in the PBS KIDS series Hero Elementary, we all have unique abilities waiting to be discovered. Maybe your child is a whiz at building gadgets like AJ or possesses incredible super strength like Benny. School is the launchpad where students learn, experiment and hone those talents. Imagine turning a love for drawing into designing superhero costumes, or a fascination with rocks into creating superstrong shields. The possibilities are endless!

Take Lucita Sky from Hero Elementary, for instance. She started out shy and unsure, but with the help of her friends and teachers, she learned to control her incredible growth power. School provides that supportive environment where children can overcome challenges and celebrate victories, big or small. They’ll make friends who share interests, just like Mr. Sparks and his crew, who formed an awesome team despite their different powers. Together, they’ll learn valuable lessons about teamwork, communication and the importance of never giving up on their dreams.

School is more than just preparation for the future; it’s an adventure. It’s a place where your child can unlock the superhero within, discover their passions and embark on a journey of lifelong learning. So, step through the school doors with excitement, embrace the challenges and remember, the magic truly begins when we start to believe in ourselves and the incredible things we can achieve.

What’s your superpower?
