Colorful Ideas to Enjoy This Fall
Autumn’s a wonderful time of the year to plan fun activities with your family. One of my family’s favorite things to do is to take a walk and talk about all the new colors and textures we see around us.
One game to play on your walks is to identify a color you see in nature and try to think of something else that is the same color that season. For example, a beautiful orange leaf may make us think of bright orange pumpkins.
It’s amazing the things your children can think of when they’re enjoying the crisp fall air and the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Another activity we enjoy on our walks is to collect things such as leaves, twigs, pine cones and rocks and use them in an art project. It’s always fun to see what type of 3-D structure you can build with your treasures. We also enjoy using our found objects as paintbrushes. We like to experiment with the different textures that result from using them to paint on paper or canvas. Your child’s imagination will soar with this project!
No matter what type of activities you plan, the most important thing to remember is that your child loves spending time with you and making memories. I hope you have an amazing autumn season!
