Spread the Love of Reading

Read a New Book with Your Family

December is Read a New Book Month, a celebration focusing on the importance of reading, encouraging people to read and spreading the love of reading. It’s a perfect time for everyone to gather and discover the pleasures of reading as you cuddle up by a cozy fireplace or campfire with hot cocoa.

My all-time favorite December things are especially cozy, sweet and memorable. From colorful holiday lights, candles, cookies and milk to spreading kindness and good cheer, decorating the Christmas tree and family time, the month of December reflects the miracle of the season and, of course, simple moments that become our life’s most treasured memories.

In December we celebrate reading and the opportunity to teach children about the fun of reading by getting invested in characters that are entertaining and relatable. This month, join our community of ambitious readers and get excited about the joy of learning.
