Fight the Power: How Hip Hop Changed the World 

Chuck D of Public Enemy explores Hip Hop’s political awakening over the last 50 years. With a host of rap stars and cultural commentators he tracks Hip Hop’s socially conscious roots. From The Message to Fight The Power 2020, he examines how Hip Hop has become “the Black CNN.”

On the Road with Chatham Rabbits 

In this 2023 series, follow bluegrass duo Sarah and Austin McCombie of Chatham Rabbits as they craft songs, tour the country, care for their North Carolina farm and navigate their relationship as up-and-coming musicians.

Southern Songbirds 

Celebrate the power of women in country music with this concert series recorded at the North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh. Artists Tift Merritt, Rissi Palmer, H.C. McEntire, Caitlin Cary and Charly Lowry bring their unique styles to the stage and share their personal and musical influences.

Freight Train Blues 

This concert series celebrates the legacy of Piedmont folk-blues innovator Elizabeth “Libba” Cotten. Born in 1893 in Carrboro, North Carolina, Cotten is best known for compositions “Freight Train” and “Shake Sugaree,” which have been covered by the likes of Joan Baez, Doc Watson, the Grateful Dead and Taj Mahal. Today a new generation of Southern roots musicians carry on her legacy.

The Best of the Joy of Painting with Bob Ross 

Bob Ross relaxes viewers and encourages the painting hobbyist in THE BEST OF THE JOY OF PAINTING. Using his "wet-on-wet" technique, Bob paints natural scenes with bold strokes across the canvas, from cascading waterfalls to snow-covered forests. Bob Ross’ calm disposition and easy-to-follow instruction remind viewers that “there are no mistakes, only happy accidents.”
