PBS North Carolina Wins 9 Emmy Awards at the 39th Annual Midsouth Emmys

PBS NORTH CAROLINA WINS 9 EMMY AWARDS AT THE 39TH ANNUAL MIDSOUTH EMMYS 

These awards recognize artistic, educational and technical excellence in television.

 

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, 2/18/2025 — PBS North Carolina received 9 Emmy Awards at the 39th Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards ceremony, held on Saturday, February 15, at the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. The awards were presented by the Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. 

“PBS North Carolina is immensely proud of our team’s outstanding work in capturing and sharing the unique stories of our state,” says Laura Kieler, Deputy General Manager. “Our 9 Emmy Awards and 21 nominations this year reflect the dedication of our entire staff and the support of our members, donors and partners. Congratulations to everyone who helped make these exceptional stories possible.” 

In total, PBS North Carolina was recognized with 21 nominations in 18 different categories ranging from documentary, news feature and magazine formats to lifestyle, instructional and arts/entertainment. 

The 39th Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards recognized work produced between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024. More than 800 entries were judged by peer professionals from five partner chapters of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
