Masterpiece Season Finales & More in February

From left to right: Gemma Arterton as Barbara, now national muse Sophie Straw, in Funny Woman, Trixie Franklin, played by Helen George, holds a baby in Call the Midwife and the Empress Elisabeth of Austria in a golden gown and crown, played by Dominique Devenport in Sisi: Austrian Empire.

Season Finales & Looking Ahead

While I love a good last episode, I know we’re in for some cliffhangers. I’ll be a little sad to see three of our favorite winter dramas build to their season finales in February. How will the new vet, Mr. Carmody, continue to fit in with the rest of the crew in All Creatures Great & Small? Will Eliza and William finally commit to each other in Miss Scarlet & The Duke? I can’t wait to find out!

I have been loving the new series Funny Woman, especially seeing how Barbara (or should we call her Sophie?) navigates the ups and downs of her relationships and new career in London. The show taps into some serious nostalgia for me, for when my grandmother and I would watch reruns of I Love Lucy. (We even dressed up as Lucy and Ethel on one Halloween!) Don't even get me started on the soundtrack – the music stays stuck in my head for days!

Even after those finales, Sundays are still drama nights on PBS. Call the Midwife returns to PBS NC in March, but you can watch episodes early with Passport, starting 2/16. With Passport, you can follow Franz & Sisi’s efforts to maintain their empire in season 2 of Sisi: Austrian Empress, starting 2/2. Catch up on season 1 now! >

Early Access with Passport

Call the Midwife Season 13

It is now 1969 and more babies are being born in hospital than ever before. Pressure on maternity beds remains extremely high across the country but Poplar is coping better than most due to the work of Nonnatus House and the popularity of home births under the auspices of the Sisters.

Watch Call the Midwife Season 13 Sundays at 8 PM on PBS NC, starting 3/17. Get early access to episodes only with Passport, starting Friday, 2/16.

Sisi: Austrian Empress Season 2

With war looming, an unexpected reunion with Count Andrassy could jeopardize everything Franz and Sisi have built: their empire--and their marriage.

Get early access to season 2 of Sisi: Austrian Empress with Passport on Friday, February 2.
